The primary function of the Manusa blast-resistant door is to act as a shield against the pressure wave generated in the event of an explosion. When closed, it provides complete safety by preventing shrapnel and other hazardous particles from entering the protected area. In addition to this special protective function, it possesses all the safety and comfort features of a standard Manusa automatic door. The product has been certified EXV25-B according to the ISO 16933:2007 standard as a result of rigorous testing conducted by CROSSLEY CONSULT, an accredited laboratory. This certification demonstrates the door's resistance to a specific blast pressure and positive impulse according to international standards.
This product is an automatic sliding door that can be configured as single-leaf or double-leaf (center-opening). At the heart of the system is the Visio BR operator, based on the standard Visio HD operator but structurally reinforced at critical points. The door leaves feature an aluminum and steel frame structure equipped with specially formulated glass resistant to blast impacts. This special glass and frame combination prevents shattering in the event of an explosion, maintaining its integrity and offering maximum safety.
The explosion-proof performance has been tested and certified according to the international ISO 16933:2007 standard. The gate has received the EXV25-B classification, indicating resistance to a peak pressure of 80 kPa and a positive impulse of 380 kPa-ms. Kinematically, the adjustable opening speed of the leaf can reach up to 0.7 m/s, while the closing speed and force (between 40 N and 140 N) can be precisely adjusted. The system can easily support leaves weighing up to 300 kg in a single leaf and a total of 240 kg in a double leaf configuration. The operator, capable of operating smoothly between -15°C and 50°C, has 2x12 V DC 700mAh rechargeable batteries for opening or closing the gate in case of power outages.
The door can be customized with a wide range of equipment options to suit its intended use and security needs. Hybrid sensors (DDS Hybrid) and side security sensors (DDS-S) are available, offering both activation and security functions for detection. Switch options include wireless Airlinx with touch LCD screen, wired Smart Selector, or Optima for program selection. A wide variety of accessories are available for opening control, such as contactless switches, standard buttons, elbow buttons, outdoor key switches, keypads, and RFID access control systems. Additional security features such as electromechanical locks and mechanical fail-safe (CO48) can be integrated. Furthermore, I/O interface modules are available for communication with building automation systems.
The door's aesthetic appearance can be customized to match the architectural identity of your project. The standard coating is a protective layer of oven-polymerized plastic paint with a minimum thickness of 60 microns.
