Smoke is just as dangerous as fire.
Inhaling hot and toxic gases just a few times can lead to unconsciousness or even death. Therefore, smoke must be controlled from the start. Our smoke protection doors are tested according to EN 1634-3 and certified to DIN 18095-1 standards (RS-1/2-62 only). They also meet the requirements of S 200 under EN 13501-2, the upcoming European classification standard.
In case of fire, these doors close automatically with door closers. Special three-sided seals and drop-down seals reliably block smoke penetration. Advanced door technology ensures both safety and convenient automation.
Thanks to retrofit kits, it is now possible to upgrade existing fire doors with smoke protection functionality. However, before implementation, all steps must be coordinated with the relevant building inspection authority.
