Ordu Giresun Airport, Turkey's and Europe's first airport built on the sea, is in the Gülyalı district of Ordu, 19 kilometers from Ordu and 25 kilometers from Giresun.
Since there is no suitable area due to geographical conditions, the runway length of the project, which was built by filling the sea, is 3 thousand and its width is 45 meters. At Ordu-Giresun Airport, which is the second airport in the world after Japan with sea filling, "stone mastic asphalt" was poured on the runway to make the airport more comfortable, which was built by filling approximately 36 million tons of stones into the sea with 2 thousand flights a day.
The airport, which was put into service on May 22, 2015, has an annual passenger capacity of 3 million.
Ikon Yapı took part in the sectional Door, Fire Resistant Steel Door, Spiral Door, and Barrier in the project carried out by Alga İnşaat, which is within the body of the State Airports Authority.
