EN 16034 Compliant Fire Resistant Doors and Windows
It defines the material-independent safety and performance requirements applicable to all fire resistant (resistant) and/or smoke control products intended for use in fire and/or smoke compartments and/or escape routes.
All door, window and access systems complying with EN 16034 defined in the standards put into effect by CEN, performance defined in the standards of "EN 13241-1 Industrial and Commercial Doors and Garage Doors" or "EN 14351-1 Exterior Doors and Windows Suitable for Pedestrian Access" It obliges the "CE" marking by being presented with the criteria and the performance declaration of each product to be given by the manufacturer. Fire resistant doors, windows and transition systems produced in Turkey and in all other CEN member countries must meet all criteria defined in the relevant product standard and EN 16034 standard.
Since the prEN 14351-2 Internal Doors and Windows Product Standard for Pedestrian Access is currently a draft, this obligation does not bind the products to be used indoors. For detailed information, you can review our blog posts or consult our experts.
